Rickie Fowler, Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson played a practice round together Tuesday in advance of The Players Championship - meaning there's a good chance a few bucks changed hands behind the 18th green at TPC Sawgrass. The highlight of the morning round came on the prior hole, though, as the trio all took turns batting from the other side of the proverbial plate at the par-3 17th.
Fowler and Johnson both swung using Mickelson's left-handed clubs, while Mickelson took a couple whacks as a right-hander. None of the three found dry land with their first shots to the island green, but after a quick re-load Fowler hit the green with his second approach, giving him bragging rights (at least) over Mickelson and Johnson.
After the round, Fowler posted a video to his Instagram account, showing that while he and Johnson seem to have viable left-handed swings, Mickelson's ambidextrous effort could use some work:
