Rory McIlroy

Rory McIlroy is back to No. 2 in the Official World Golf Ranking, but still has a long way to go to catch Dustin Johnson.

McIlroy’s tie for fourth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational allowed him to pass Jason Day. It was the only movement inside the top 10 this past week.

McIlroy is now 0.09 points ahead of Day, but 2.55 points behind Johnson

API winner Marc Leishman jumped 30 spots to No. 32 in the world. His career best ranking is 25th.

Kevin Kisner and Charley Hoffman tied for second place at Bay Hill. They are now 38th and 48th, respectively.

The top 50 after this week’s WGC-Dell Match Play will qualify for the Masters.

Jeunghun Wang is currently 45th and trying to hang on to his position, while No. 53 Ross Fisher is looking for a deep run in Austin, Texas to make it to Augusta, Ga.

Tiger Woods, who has yet to announce if he will return for the Masters, is down to No. 742.
