ATLANTA – Round 2 tee times at the Tour Championship have been moved up in an attempt to beat an incoming storm.
Play will begin at 8:45 a.m. ET with groups going off as twosomes. The leaders will head out at 11 a.m., three hours earlier than originally scheduled. Golf Channel will air live coverage, beginning at 10 a.m.
Friday’s forecast calls for an 80 percent chance of thunderstorms but not until the afternoon, which should give officials enough time to get all 29 players around.
Last year officials made a similar move on Saturday at the finale to beat a storm and paired players in threesomes.
