Charl Schwartzel's ascent back up the Official World Golf Ranking continued with his playoff win at the Valspar Championship.

The victory was Schwartzel's first PGA Tour win since the 2011 Masters, but his third in his last six worldwide starts. The South African, who dropped as low as 54th last fall, started the week in Tampa at No. 32 in the world. But after outlasting Bill Haas, Schwartzel jumped 11 spots to No. 21, his highest ranking since September 2014.

After his runner-up finish, Haas jumped 12 spots to No. 31. Schwartzel's countryman, Louis Oosthuizen, moved from No. 18 to No. 16 after a T-7 finish, while Ryan Moore's third-place finish vaulted him back into the top 50, up 16 spots to No. 45.

Updated Official World Golf Ranking

Scott Hend's European Tour victory in Thailand allowed the Aussie to crack the OWGR top 100, as Hend jumped from No. 122 to No. 79. Belgium's Thomas PIeters finished third at that event, and he moved up 10 spots to No. 56 in the process.

Amateur Lee McCoy impressed many with his fourth-place finish at Innisbrook, and the OWGR points from that result alone were enough to move him to No. 420 in the world - ahead of an idle Tiger Woods, who dropped 10 spots to No. 458 as his recovery from multiple back surgeries continues.

There were no changes to the top 10 this week. Jordan Spieth still tops the standings, followed by Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, Bubba Watson and Rickie Fowler. The top 10 is rounded out by Adam Scott, Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed.
