Adam Scott sure knows how to keep a secret.
According to Australia's Courier-Mail, the world No. 3 revealed Thursday that he and wife Marie Kojzar are expecting their first child in nine weeks.
“I was probably surprised more than anything,” Scott said. “Nothing was really planned but of course incredibly excited.
“It’s got to that point in life and it will be a new challenge and hopefully a lot of fun.”
Scott and Kojzar were married in April in a surprise ceremony in the Bahamas.
The 2013 Masters champion is defending his title this week at the Australian PGA, and then he plans to put away the clubs until the Honda Classic in February.
He also said he plans to get advice from his fellow Tour players.
“Fortunately I’ve paid attention to all the guys trying to figure out how to raise their kids [on tour]," he said. "I’m sure there are no secrets and you learn as you go along, but I might have to ask for some nappy-changing advice.”
