DUBLIN, Ohio - World No. 2 Jordan Spieth has one aspect of his game ready for the U.S. Open, but after a 74-73 weekend at the Memorial Tournament he still has some work to do before he heads to Oakmont.

“I drove the ball well at periods of time this week, but for the most part, driving accuracy has got to really improve, especially going into Oakmont,” Spieth said after a T-57 finish. “I'll work hard this week.”

For the week, Spieth tied for 66th in driving accuracy and hit  onlyseven greens on Sunday.

The good news for Spieth is his short game is “U.S. Open ready.” He proved that last week when he won at Colonial for his second victory of the year.

“It comes down to driving the ball,” Spieth said. “I need to be able to have a comfort level, a comfort shot that I can play off these tee boxes with - whether it be a driving iron or a 3-wood or a driver - something where I feel just a little bit more comfortable.”
