Kevin Stadler may be heading back to the disabled list.
Stadler has been plagued in recent months by a broken bone in his left hand, an injury he first suffered at the WGC-HSBC Champions in November. He withdrew from that event after just two holes, then didn't play again until the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in January, when he withdrew during the third round because of the same injury.
Stadler's start at Augusta National was his first since Kapalua, and while he hit 30 of 36 greens in regulation - two more than eventual winner Jordan Spieth through two rounds - he struggled on the greens and missed the cut by five shots.
The withdrawal means that Stadler, No. 97 in the OWGR, will not qualify for the WGC-Cadillac Match Play Championship. He is already exempt for The Players Championship, and Stadler's card is secure through the 2015-16 season by virtue of his win at the 2014 Waste Management Phoenix Open.
