PALM HARBOR, Fla. – The Florida Swing resumes this week at Innisbrook, where players will look to tame the tight fairways and undulating hills of the Snake Pit. Here's a look at some of the marquee early-round groups, as the Champion Golfer of the Year plays alongside the tournament's defending champ (all times ET):
7:45 a.m. Thursday, 12:35 p.m. Friday: Patrick Reed, Jim Furyk, Ernie Els
Furyk captured this event in 2010 en route to winning the FedEx Cup, and now the Ryder Cup captain will make his fourth start in the last five weeks. He'll be joined by Reed, who lost a memorable playoff to Jordan Spieth here two years ago, and Els, a tournament regular who is hoping to end a string of four straight missed cuts on the PGA Tour.
7:56 a.m. Thursday, 12:46 p.m. Friday: Henrik Stenson, Charl Schwartzel, Bubba Watson
Stenson enters as the highest-ranked player in the field despite withdrawing from the first round of the WGC-Mexico Championship because of stomach issues. He'll play the first two rounds alongside Schwartzel, who earned his second Tour victory here last year in a playoff over Bill Haas, and Watson, who is making his first appearance at Innisbrook since 2011.
12:35 p.m. Thursday, 7:35 a.m. Friday: Justin Thomas, Daniel Berger, Steve Stricker
The Presidents Cup captain will have a front-row seat to watch two players who will likely factor on his team at Liberty National. Thomas has already won three times this season and nearly added a fourth trophy last week in Mexico, while Berger enters on a run of four top-20 finishes in his last seven starts.
12:46 p.m. Thursday, 7:46 a.m. Friday: Bill Haas, Matt Kuchar, Gary Woodland
Haas nearly won this event last year and he returns on a run of nine straight cuts that dates back to The Barclays. Joining him at Innisbrook will be Kuchar, who has three top-15s here in the last five years, and Woodland, who earned his first win here in 2011 and already has two runner-up finishes this season.
