Swing coach Lumpkin diagnosed with leukemia


Legendary swing coach Jack Lumpkin has been diagnosed with chronic leukemia.

According to a statement released by Lumpkin’s family, the 1995 PGA Teacher of the Year has already began treatment and is “working toward recovery.”

“We, and his physicians, are committed to providing the best treatment available for Jack so that he can return to teaching as soon as possible,” the statement read.

Davis Love III and Brian Harman are among Lumpkin’s stable of players on the PGA Tour.
