Tour announces venues for The Barclays through 2022

The PGA Tour unveiled the venue rotation for The Barclays through 2022 on Tuesday, adding another host course in the New York area for what is annually the first event of the postseason.

This week's venue, Plainfield Country Club in Edison, N.J., last hosted the event in 2011 and will again in 2020. The tournament will return to last year's site, Ridgewood Country Club, in 2018, while the scene will shift to New York and Bethpage Black in both 2016 and 2021.

Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, N.J., last hosted in 2013 and will do so again in both 2019 and 2022. With Liberty National also hosting the Presidents Cup in 2017, The Barclays will shift that year to Glen Oaks Club in Old Westerbury, N.Y., which was named the 2015 Club of the Year by the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association.

The Barclays annually hosts the top 125 players from that season's FedEx Cup list, with the top 100 players advancing to the Deutsche Bank Championship the following week. Here's a chronological look at how the host rotation will play out over the next seven years:
