Villegas jumps 142 spots in world rankings

Camilio Villegas’ victory at the Wyndham Championship came with a significant boost in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Villegas won on the PGA Tour for the first time in four years and moved from 254th to 112th in the OWGR. It’s his highest ranking since 2012.

Marc Warren, who won the European Tour’s Made in Denmark, jumped to 68th from 89th.

There was little movement inside the top 10, with Jason Day moving up one spot to ninth and bumping Phil Mickelson to 10th. Rory McIlroy remained in the top spot, two points clear of Adam Scott.
