Talk about a veteran move. On Friday at Augusta, Phil Mickelson had his caddie Bones walk ahead to the 13th green to tend the flag for his 60-yard approach. Mickelson stuck it to about 4 feet and made the putt for birdie to get to 3 under total, one shot off the lead.
Earlier in the day, Rory McIlroy's approach to 18 caromed off the pin and he ended up making bogey. Clearly, Mickelson didn't want to take any chances of his ball ending up in the water short of 13. You keep doing you, Phil.
