With rocks along the entire right side of the par-3 17th at the Palmer Private course, you would think anything right would be dead. Not so fast.
First, Piercy's tee shot didn't even bounce off the rocks. The ball somehow stopped dead and trickled down to 7 feet, setting Piercy up for birdie.
Then a few hours later, Hahn got a similar break, but his tee shot landed even closer.
