When Bubba Watson won the Masters in 2012, he made few appearances wearing his iconic green jacket. After winning for the second time earlier this month, Watson promised to make the rounds with one of the most famous trophies in golf, and early on he's living up to those claims.
Watson returned Thursday to his roots in the Florida panhandle, posing for pictures in his green jacket and meeting with students at an elementary school in Bagdad, Fla., followed by a stop at the high school in nearby Milton, Fla:
Watson's victory lap will continue tonight in Pensacola, where he will throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.
Watson has not teed it up competitively since his win at Augusta National, and his next start is expected to be at the Players Championship May 8-11.
