Web.com Tour president Bill Calfee will retire at the end of the year, it was announced Monday.

Dan Glod, the senior vice president and chief of operations for the Web.com Tour, will replace Calfee, effective Jan. 1, 2017.

Calfee has served as the president of the Web.com Tour since 2006. One of his main initiatives was turning the developmental circuit into the lone pathway to the PGA Tour, via the Web.com Tour Finals. According to a release, he will continue to assist the Web.com circuit with strategic initiatives through 2017.

“I feel we’ve made tremendous strides in building the Tour over the past decade,” Calfee said, “both in terms of growth and consistently producing tremendous players on the PGA Tour, and I’m proud to have played a role in that.”

Glod has served in his current role since 2014, though he’s been with the PGA Tour since '03.

Calfee isn’t the only high-ranking executive who is expected to leave his post in the next year. PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem’s contract was extended another year, through June 1, 2017, but he said he plans to step down at the end of the year.
