Michelle Wie withdrew prior to the final round of the Canadian Pacific Women's Open and will undergo emergency surgery Sunday to remove her appendix.

Wie, 27, was six shots off the lead after rounds of 71-68-70 in Ottawa.

"Michelle Wie will have surgery to remove her appendix today at Ottawa Hospital," her agency, IMG, said in a statement. "Further details on her condition will be provided when available."
