Woods postpones Tuesday news conference at PGA

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Tiger Woods’ originally scheduled Tuesday 9:30 a.m. ET PGA Championship news conference has been postponed.

Following a withdrawal from the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational because of a recurrence to his surgically repaired lower back injury, Woods was not on site at Valhalla Golf Club on Monday.

Tiger's agent, Mark Steinberg, told Golf Channel: "No decision has been made today. Once one is made, we will communicate it."

In a slight nod toward optimism, his caddie, Joe LaCava, scouted the host course Monday, armed with a yardage book.

Woods is scheduled to start his opening round at 8:35 a.m. ET on Thursday alongside fellow former champions Phil Mickelson and Padraig Harrington. There is no deadline to withdraw from the tournament.
