Tiger's agent: Masters decision coming 'very shortly'

Tiger Woods’ manager Mark Steinberg has told the Palm Beach Post that the world No. 1 will make a decision “very, very shortly” regarding his status for next week’s Masters.

Woods has been slowed by back spasms since he had to withdraw from the Honda Classic earlier this month. He tied for 25th at the WGC-Cadillac Championship despite back pain on Friday and Sunday and decided not to play the Arnold Palmer Invitational because of the ailment.

“For Augusta, it's actually a little too soon to be honest with you. That's kind of the frustrating thing about this,” Woods said last Monday. “I’ve had a couple weeks off getting treatment, just working on trying to get ready for Augusta. As of right now, it's still too soon. As I said, it's very frustrating.”

Woods, who has won the Masters four times, has not missed the year’s first major championship since 1995.
