College combines conclude in Las Vegas

College Golf CombineJunior golfers from around the world will head to Las Vegas to showcase their skills to college coaches at this year's College Golf Combine.

The third year of the College Golf Combines will conclude Dec. 5 at the College Golf Coaches Convention Combine in Las Vegas.

This event, sponsored by the GCAA and the NGCA, is included in the convention schedule and many top coaches are expected to attend.  The 2009 event attracted more than 80 men’s and women’s coaches. So far, recruits from the classes of 2011-2015 are registered from as far away as Australia.

The purpose of the combines is to bring together recruits and coaches so coaches can evaluate talent. At each combine, resumes of every participant are bound into a book that is given to each coach in attendance.

The combine recently added the complete Trackman analysis where each participant will hit six shots with 10 clubs and the detailed analysis will be available online to help them determine strengths and weaknesses.
