Dodgers Take Big Break All Star Challenge


ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Big Break All Star Challenge continues its second season on The Golf Channel with an all-new episode featuring The Los Angeles Dodgers airing Tuesday, May 30 at 10:30 p.m. ET.
The Big Break All Star Challenge will pit Los Angeles Dodgers players Derek Lowe, Eric Gagne, Brett Tomko, Kenny Lofton and special guest host Charley Steiner against each other in a special event for charity and bragging rights. Each participant will compete in a series of golf challenges based on the networks widely popular and successful The Big Break reality series - including the viewer-favorite glass breaking challenge and long-drive competition.
Taped during Spring Training at The Club at Pointe West in Vero Beach, Fla., Tuesdays The Big Break All Star Challenge is a condensed version of the original The Big Break series, but with all the action packed into one hour. Contestants are eliminated throughout the competition, with a final pairing battling it out for the crown at the end of the show. Based upon individual performance, the contestants will receive equivalent cash awards to be donated to a charity of his choice.
Tuesdays episode marks the first of several Major League Baseball teams and alumni featured in the second season of The Big Break All Star Challenge. Upcoming All Star Challenges include matches with the World Champion Chicago White Sox, Texas Rangers and a special Legends of the Diamond episode airing later in the season. Episodes from the second season of The Big Break All Star Challenge air Tuesday nights at 10:30 p.m. ET.
With its sixth season scheduled to debut this fall, The Big Break has been one of The Golf Channels most successful shows in the networks 11-year history.
