Annika Sorenstam (D) - Has had an injury-plagued season and lost coveted No. 1 world ranking to Lorena Ochoa. But had her best showing of the year recently at State Farm Classic with a tie for third place.

 
Laura Davies (C+) - The only player to play in every single Solheim Cup competition brings a wealth of experience to the matches. Has four top-10s this year on LPGA Tour and is playing well at this point.
 

Trish Johnson (B) - Won the BMW Ladies Italian Open in May and also had five other top-10 finishes this season on the Ladies European Tour (L.E.T.). This will be her eighth Solheim Cup team, second only to Davies.
 

Gwladys Nocera (B+)- Had a blistering stretch from June to July in which she posted six straight top-6 finishes including a win at the KLM Ladies Open. Currently sits in the fourth position on the L.E.T. money list.
 

Catriona Matthew (A-) - Played some of her best golf of the season in each of the four major championships with her best finish being a tie for second at the Kraft Nabisco Championship. Recently placed seventh at the Women's British Open.
 

Suzann Petterson (A+) - Had a breakout year, including her first-ever major title at the McDonald's LPGA Championship. Also was victorious at the Michelob ULTRA Open and had a heartbreaking runner-up finish at the Kraft Nabisco. Ranks second only to Lorena Ochoa on the money list.
 

Becky Brewerton (A-) - One of three Solheim Cup rookies on the team, Brewerton has notched a pair of wins on the L.E.T. this season along with six other top-10 finshes. Ranks ninth on the money list.
 

Bettina Hauert (A) - Recently won the Finnair Masters which was her second win on the season to go along with her Ladies Swiss Open title. The Solheim Cup rookie has two more runner-up showings that helped her to sit atop the L.E.T. money list.
 

Linda Wessberg (B) - The third Cup rookie on the squad, Wessberg sits sixth on the money list thanks in part to her victory at the Open de France. Placed in a solid tie for seventh at the Women's British Open alongside teammate Matthew.
 

Maria Hjorth (B)- Plays mostly on the LPGA Tour where she's posted 4 top-10s on the year, including an impressive runner-up at the Women's British and a T-9 at the Kraft Nabisco.
 

Iben Tinning (C)- This will be her fourth straight Solheim Cup appearance, making it this year as a captain's pick. Has five top-10s in '07 but hasn't visited the winner's circle since her three-win season in 2005.
 

Sophie Gustafson (C+)- One of the longest hitters in the women's game, Gustafson has had an up-and-down year. Her best two finishes came in the two Safeway events: Safeway International - fifth place; Safeway Classic - runner-up.
