Privateers Prevail by Single Shot

College Central presented by PINGEASTOVER, La. -- The University of New Orleans Privateers mens golf team won the 2003 Methodist Sportscare/Bob Brown Invitational by one stroke, 585-586 over Southeast Missouri State. The Privateers were led by a pair of all-tournament members as Kevin Maxwell and Robert Ritchie each shot identical 144 (73-71). UNO rallied in the second round as the team trailed SEMO, 295-296 after the first round. The title is the first captured in three years under Director of Golf, Jimmy Headrick.
