Look no further than the Ryder Cup to see how the head to head battles are embraced. It is no different in the college ranks, where the best from the mens and womens ranks will convene at Mission Inn in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla., for the Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championships November 14-16.
It is a chance to see teams battle it out against one another, and if last year's exciting finals where Florida and Duke needed extra holes to secure the victory, are any indication, we should be in for another great week.
Defending national champion California and Florida, last year's Hooter Collegiate Match Play winner, highlight the men's field - which includes 14 of the top 15 finishers at the 2004 NCAA Championships.
