Southeastern Louisiana Leads After Day 1

HATTIESBURG ' The Southeastern Louisiana mens golf team fired a second-round 277 and leads the 2003 Sam Hall Intercollegiate by eight strokes over Wichita State heading into Tuesdays final round of play at Hattiesburg Country Club.
 
Final round of play begins Tuesday morning at 7:30 p.m.
 
The Lions (285-277), led by Steven Tileys second round 68, had three players shoot in the 60s in the second round along with a pair of 69s by Mark OSullivan and Anders Hofvander. Brett Bergeron fired a second round 71 and Michael Schoen a 76 to cap the day.
 
Overall, Tiley is alone in third place and three strokes off the pace after a four-under total of 140 (72-68), while Bergeron is in a tie for fourth on stroke back. OSullivan (T8) and Hofvander (T12) each are another stroke back at 2-under and 1-under par respectively while Schoen is in a tie for 23rd at 2-over par.
 
Southern Miss Shane Rushing leads individually with a seven-under total of 137 after backing an opening 66 with a 1-under 71 in the afternoon round. Ryan Campbell of Troy State is a stroke back at 138 after a pair of 69s.
