UC Davis' Eric Restrepo was just named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week for the week of March 10-16.
Restrepo, a sophomore from Davis, earned his first collegiate title when he took medalist honors at the Sacramento State Inviational last week. He finished the three-round tournament as the only player under par, with a 1-under par, 215, finish. Restrepo's effort led the Aggies to the team title, six strokes better than NCAA Division I member Santa Clara.
'Eric was tremendous all three rounds,' Head Coach Cy Williams said. 'He had a great week of practice leading up to the tournament and played with a lot of poise on the final day. It was a great way to cap his victory.'
