Feb. 11, 1998 ' U.S. Magistrate Thomas Coffin, in a trial in Portland, Ore., announced his decision to allow Casey Martin ride a cart in PGA tour competition.
Feb. 12, 1979 ' Groundbreaking begins on the construction of the TPC at Sawgrass, home of the Players Championship in Ponte Vedra, Fla.
Feb. 13, 1983 ' Isao Aoki wins Hawaiian Open, holing out for eagle with a wedge on the 72nd hole to become the first Japanese to win on the PGA Tour. He defeated Jack Renner on the par-5 last hole.
Feb. 13, 1994 ' Rocky Thompson shoots a 61 on the final day to win the GTE Suncoast Classic. That tied a record previously authored by Jim Colbert and Lee Elder.

Feb. 16, 1995 ' Presidents Gerald Ford, Bill Clinton and George Bush play a practice round with host Bob Hope in the Bob Hope Chrysler Desert Classic.
