March 25, 1934 ' Horton Smith wins the first Masters, then known as the Augusta National Invitational.
March 26-28, 1995 ' First Senior Womens tournament held, won by Sandra Palmer. The event at Club Terravita in Phoenix was the brainchild of Jane Blalock and featured 24 past and present LPGA players 45 and older.
March 28, 1999 ' David Duval wins the Players Championship on the regular tour and father Bob Duval wins the Emerald Coast Classic on the Senior (now Champions) Tour ' the only time a father-son combination has won on the two tours on the same day.
