Aug. 4, 1945 ' Byron Nelson wins his 11th straight tournament, the Canadian Open, finaizing his record for the most consecutive wins.
Aug. 7, 1999 ' Aree Wongluekiet (now Song) wins U.S. Girls Junior Amateur, becoming the youngest champion in USGA history at 13. Michelle Wie later broke the record when she won the U.S. Womens Public Links Championship in 2003.
Aug. 10, 1986 ' Greg Norman completes the 54-hole Slam at the PGA Championship, leading after 54 holes in all four majors that year but winning only the British Open
