RSS

Harold Stilson became the oldest golfer ever to record a hole-in-one, when the Florida man scored an ace at the Deerfield Country Club.

The shot came on April 10th, at the 108-yard par-3 16th. Stilson reportedly his a 4-iron.

According to the Associated Press and Golf Digest, the oldest player prior to Stilson to score a 1 was Otto Bucher, when he did so at age 99 in the La Manga Golf Club in Spain.

In 30 years of playing golf, Stilson has now recorded six hole-in-ones.

The funny thing is, I didnt think I hit it very well, he claimed of his latest record-setter.

Said friend and playing partner Ken Flemming: It rolled into the hole and my son and I let out a hoot and a holler. Harold was just kind of ho-hum about it.
