12-Year-Old to Play in US Womens Open

12-year-old Morgan Pressel fired a 2-under par 70 on Monday to qualify for the U.S. Women's Open. The seventh grader from Boca Raton, Fl. made her way into the field by surviving the qualifier at the Bear Lakes Country Club in North Palm Beach, Fl.
She won't set the record as the youngest player to earn a spot in the event. That mark belongs to Beverly Klass who qualified for the 1967 U.S. Women's Open as a 10-year-old.
The U.S. Women's Open will be begin May 31st at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, N.C.
