3M Comes Up Big For Senior Tour

The Senior PGA Tour gave record amounts to 11 charities in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area in 2001 thanks to its 3M Championship.
According to Tournament Director Hollis Cavner, the event distributed $1.275 for the season.
We always felt with 3M as the title sponsor we could go to a different charity level, Cavner commented.
Of the total, some $1,000,000 went to the Abbott Northwestern Hospital and the United Hospital Foundation, while nine other charities split the remaining $275,000.
