Arnie Jack Watson Stadler Play Skins

2005 WendyJack Nicklaus says he doesnt how much longer he will have the opportunity to play alongside Arnold Palmer. Palmer is now 75, Nicklaus 65. But they will play together in the The Wendy's Champions Skins Game at Wailea Resort in Hawaii Friday though Sunday, along with Tom Watson and Craig Stadler.

Every time we play, it's fun and special because you never know how much golf we'll play together,' said Nicklaus. 'Even 40 years after we started, we're still trying to drum each other.'
The four will play for $600,000 in prize money. This is the 17th Skins appearance in 18 years for Palmer, who won the event in 1990, 1992 and 1993. Nicklaus, who won in 1991, is playing for the 15th time.
Arnold's going to play until you put him in the ground, and that's fine because that's what Arnold wants to do,' Nicklaus said. 'This is not only Arnold's vocation, it's his avocation, his hobby, it's his life. That's what he does - play golf.
Even though Palmer may not win, he certainly will be trying.
We're trying to beat each other, that's the name of the game,' he said. 'The money and everything is important, but winning the competition is the most important.'
Watson agreed.
'Arnold wants to beat me just as badly as I want to beat him,' Watson said. 'I may have the advantage in my length, but I certainly don't have any advantage in the will to win.'
Watson won the Skins for the first time in 2004, thwarting Palmers bid to win it for the fourth time and pick up his first title since 1993. Palmer, who made five birdies during a seven-hole stretch, had a chance to win it on the final hole, but missed a seven-foot putt.
It was just a little indecision in my mind, Palmer said. I was a little undecided as to what the putt was going to do and it cost me.
Each hole of the Skins is a tournament within itself, with the prize money carried over if no player wins a hole outright. The $600,000 total purse is broken down to $20,000 for each of the first six holes, $30,000 for each of the middle six holes, $40,000 each for holes 13 through 17, and $100,000 for the 18th hole. The players will donate 20 percent of their winnings to the charity of their choice.
