Big Break Contestant on Cabreras Bag


2005 PresidentMany fans of The Golf Channels popular reality series, The Big Break IV: USA vs. Europe, will be shouting at their televisions this week when they see a familiar face competing for the Presidents Cup International team ' as a caddy.

Eduordo Gardino will be on the bag for Angel Cabrera this week in Virginia.
Contestant Edoardo Eddie Gardino will be on the bag for Angel Cabrera, who will be paired with 2005 U.S. Open champion Michael Campbell against the USAs Davis Love III and Kenny Perry in todays foursome matches.
On the current season of The Big Break, Gardino is one of six Europeans competing with a team from the United States for a chance to win exemptions onto the PGA European Tour. The series airs Tuesdays at 9 pm ET through Dec. 20 on The Golf Channel.
Gardino is no stranger to golfs inner circle, having caddied professionally for some of the worlds best players in some of golfs premier tournaments. With eight years and 11 professional victories on the bag, Eddie had created an impressive resume. Some of his more notable loops included Miguel Angel Jimenez, with whom he shared six victories and memorable events like the 1999 Ryder Cup at Brookline Country Club and the 1999 WGC-American Express Championship at Valderrama, where Jimenez lost to Tiger Woods in a playoff. He also caddied for Sergio Garcia at the 2002 Ryder Cup, where his European flag bandana attracted attention among galleries and media at The Belfry.
Eddie says his playing career really started in 2003 after his stint with Garcia ended. Currently, he plays on several professional tours in Europe and Central America. He teaches golf during the summer months at the ultra-exclusive Golf Club Crans Sur Sierre, which is frequented by royalty and celebrities, alike.
He now considers Switzerland his home and he holds a Swiss passport. He winters in Miami ' where he discovered The Big Break series ' and plays on the Tour Las Americas throughout Central America and the Caribbean. Eddie also makes a habit of traveling to major tournaments around the world to keep in touch with old friends and contact, including good friend and hero Seve Ballesteros.
