Bjorn And Levet Earn Temporary PGA Tour Status

PGA Tour (75x100)Denmark's Thomas Bjorn and Frenchman Thomas Levet have became eligble for temporary membership on the PGA Tour on the basis of their 2002 earnings, earning more this year than the 150th-ranked player did last year.
Bjorn has consistently played and finished well, while Levet earned his status by the way of his strong runner-up finish at the British Open.
Both can now accept an unlimited number of PGA Tour sponsor exemptions for the remainder of the year.
Seven events count as official money on both the European Tour and the PGA Tour, those being the four majors and the three World Golf Champioships.
Hoping to focus more on playing American soil, Bjorn and Levet will each have to finish in the top-125 on the money list to secure Tour cards for 2003.
