Boston May Get Woods Tournament

Boston is line for a PGA Tour event sponsored by Deutsche Bank which will direct its charity outlay to the Tiger Woods Foundation, according to the Boston Globe.
The tournament will be held Labor Day weekend and will be played at the new TPC Boston.
The agreement between the tour and Deutsche Bank will be from 2003 to 2006, though the newspaper said it was uncertain whether the tournament would be held in Boston all four years. It may also be played in San Francisco at Harding Park. Woods is a likely participant, since his foundation is the charity recipient.
Speculation is that Woods' endorsement company, IMG, will manage and run the tournament. IMG has extensive tournament management already.
The Boston area has not had a tournament since 1998, when the Pleasant Valley event was halted.
Deutsche Bank is a German firm which already pays Woods a reported $1 million fee to play in the Deutsche Bank Open in Germany.
