British Masters Gets New Sponsors

The Daily Telegraph, Britains biggest-selling daily broadsheet newspaper, and Damovo, a leading Global Services company, will be title sponsors of the 2003 British Masters. International Sports Management has completed an agreement with The European Tour and Marriott, the UKs Number 1 golf hotel operator, will host the tournament for the next three years.
The 2003 Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters will be held at the Marriott Forest of Arden in Warwickshire, England, between June 5-8. It will feature many of the worlds top golfers including several from the victorious European Ryder Cup Team. The champion will receive 250,000 ($409,225) from a total prize fund of 1.5 million ($2,455,3500) one of the biggest purses available on The European Tour International Schedule.
The Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters will become the only European Tour event to stage a major consumer golf show following a joint venture between Haymarket, leaders in the publishing and public exhibition field, and American Golf Discount, the UKs largest golf retailer.
Ken Schofield, executive director of the European Tour, saluted the initiative of all involved. We are delighted to welcome The Daily Telegraph and Damovo as the new title sponsors of the British Masters, one of the most prestigious tournaments on the European Tour International Schedule, he said. This will be the 57th edition of the British Masters and we congratulate Andrew Chandlers ISM company for promoting a new era in the history of the tournament. We also look forward to returning to the Marriott Forest of Arden which has hosted European Tour events with great success on no fewer than nine occasions.
