Buckeyes Burst into First

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women's golf team sits atop the leaderboard as they head into the final round of the 2003 Mercedes-Benz Championships, with a two-round total of 588. The event is being held at the par 72, 6,201-yard Fox Den Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn.
 
The Buckeyes jump into first-place came after an impressive second-round performance of 4-over-par, 292.
 
Senior Allison Hanna posted an impressive second-round of 3-under-par 69 and leads the field with a two-round total 142, heading into final round competition.
 
Teammate Lindsay Knowlton also posted a strong performance for the Buckeyes and is tied for sixth as she turned in her second-consecutive round of 1-over-par 73 for a two-round total of 146.
 
The Buckeyes will look capture their first tournament of the season tomorrow with final round competition beginning at 8:30 AM.
