BuyCom Tour Resumes in Arkansas

After two weeks off, the Buy.Com Tour resumes play at the inaugural Arkansas Classic, April 19-22. The $450,000 event will be contested at the par-72 Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village, Ark.

The Arkansas Classic is the fourth of 29 official tournaments on the 2001 schedule. Monterrey Open winner Deane Pappas currently leads the money list with over $96,000. The first prize in Arkansas is $81,000.
Chris Couch is second in seasonal earnings thanks to his hometown victory at the Florida Classic in Gainesville. It was the former Florida Gators first career tour title.
In the tours last tournament, former Georgia Bulldog Paul Claxton earned his maiden victory at the Louisiana Open.
This is the first of two new events to the Buy.Com Tour. In June, the tour will head north of the border to the Samsung Canadian PGA Championship.
