The Jacob's Creek Open Championship in Adelaide, Australia (March 4-10), and the Clearwater Classic in Christchurch, New Zealand (March 11-18), will mark the Buy.Com Tour's first venture into the Southern Hemisphere.
Other new events on the schedule include the LaSalle Bank Open in Chicago and the Lake Erie Charity Classic at Peek'n Peak Resort near Findley Lake, N.Y.
The Buy.Com Tour will compete for $12,625,000 in prize money with minimum purses of $425,000. The Buy.Com Tour Championship, which will return to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail's Senator Course at Capitol Hill outside Montgomery, Ala., will offer the largest purse of the year - $600,000.
During 2002, the Buy.Com Tour will visit 21 states and Canada in addition to the season-opening events in Australia and New Zealand. Four cities - Knoxville, Springfield (Mo.), Wichita and Boise - will host events for the 13th consecutive season.
