The Jacob's Creek Open Championship in Adelaide, Australia (March 4-10), and the Clearwater Classic in Christchurch, New Zealand (March 11-18), will mark the Buy.Com Tour's first venture into the Southern Hemisphere.

Other new events on the schedule include the LaSalle Bank Open in Chicago and the Lake Erie Charity Classic at Peek'n Peak Resort near Findley Lake, N.Y.

The Buy.Com Tour will compete for $12,625,000 in prize money with minimum purses of $425,000. The Buy.Com Tour Championship, which will return to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail's Senator Course at Capitol Hill outside Montgomery, Ala., will offer the largest purse of the year - $600,000.

'We look forward to the 2002 Buy.Com Tour season with great anticipation,' said PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem. 'It's clear that this tour continues to elevate its stature in the sport, not only competitively, but also in staging, branding and fan appeal. We expect that this season will continue that trend, and that this tour will continue to build upon its very significant momentum.'
