Daly Sidelined for at Least Two Weeks

PGA Tour (75x100)GOLF CHANNEL has learned that John Daly has withdrawn from the upcoming Arnold Palmer Invitational and will be out of action until at least the Shell Houston Open, the week before the Masters Tournament.
Daly injured his right rib and shoulder area at the Honda Classic when he tried to halt his backswing as a spectator took his picture on his third hole of the first round. He tried to play this past weeks PODS Championship, but withdrew after nine holes of the second round. He shot 3-over 74 in the first round and had a 5-over 40 over his first nine holes of round 2.
Daly went to see Dr. Steve Whitelay, a team doctor with the Arkansas Razorkbacks, where Daly attended college. He was told that he has a dislocated rib and right shoulder from the incident and both will have to set for three days. Because of the wear and tear from the injury, his right leg was 1.5 shorter than his left.
I cant even lift an ashtray, Daly told the GOLF CHANNEL.
Daly is using his Past Champion status and sponsors exemptions to get into a limited number of tournaments this season. He finished 193rd on last years money list.
