The victory comes as the 20-year-olds first of any kind since 1997, when he was ranked No. 1 on the GolfWeek Junior Rankings.
Now, as a junior at the University of Florida, he is ready to keep up his winning ways and hopes to make his way onto the PGA Tour.
Kuehne has already been in the limelight of sorts. At 29, and a member of one of the strongest golfing families in the business, he is most famous for his duel with Tiger Woods in the finals of the 1994 U.S. Amateur Championship, where he eventually lost.
Now married and with a child, he is rumored to be on the comeback trail in golf, after having taken several seasons off.
Hell need to improve a bit down the stretch, however, as Dickerson won the first two holes Sunday and never relented, eventually winning on the 14th hole.
