Doyle Can Take Over Money Lead With Win

Allen Doyle will have a chance to cut into Bruce Fleishers money lead on the Senior Tour this week when he competes in the Kroger Senior Classic.
Fleisher is taking a break from Senior Tour action. He holds a lead in the race of nearly $140,000, but Doyle could make $225,000 if he were to win. He has a slight advantage in events played, having answered the starters call 26 times this year ' 27 after Krogers at Mason, Ohio ' to 25 for Fleisher.
Don Pooley turned 50 Monday and will make his debut at Krogers. He hopes to continue the trend of rookie winners this year after Bobby Wadkins won in his debut and Bruce Lietzke won the third time out.
Im really hoping to follow suit, he told Steve Hershey of the PGA Tour. I think when you first come out, youre really geared up, really focused. I know I am.
Pooley was injured for much of the 90s, requiring surgery for a ruptured disc in his neck in 1992 and back surgery in 93. Now, hes totally recovered and healthy.
