A Fine Farewell Set for Spain

Although Ernie Els has already taken the suspense out of the European Tour's Order of Merit race, this week's season-ending Volvo Masters Andalucia will still offer up some outstanding drama.
An impressive list of former champions and highly ranked players will settle in at the Club de Golf Valderrama in Spain to see who goes home as the final champion of the 2003 season.
Darren Clarke, Paul Casey, Fredrik Jacobson and Ian Poulter will join past champions Colin Montgomerie, Lee Westwood, Nick Faldo, Padraig Harrington and Miguel Angel Jimnez as each try to end their seasons on a winning note.
Also at stake are highly sought after exemptions into next year's 133th Open Championship as well as entry into the U.S Open. The top 20 finishers on the final Order of Merit get invites to the 2004 Open Championship at Royal Troon in Scotland and the top 15 recieve passes to the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in New York.

Five multiple winners (Casey, Harrington, Westwood, Fredrik Jacobson and Ian Poulter) are in the field from the 2003 season.
A record purse of $4,118,130 is on the table with $686,350 going to the winner.
