Fister Wins Long Drive Title

Sean Fister won $80,000 Saturday following a 376-yard drive which was good enough to win the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship in Mesquite, Las Vegas.
Fister, a Little Rock, Ark. resident, edged out Brian Pavlet, who ended in second in the mens division with a shot of nearly 374-yards.
Hitting under the lights of the Palms Golf Clubs driving range, Fister danced and pumped his fists after hearing the report that his blast rolled out farthest. The shot was an impressive one indeed, disappearing like a star in the darkness of the night sky.
In the two other categories, Calgarys Ted Fostey took the Senior Division of the event with a drive of 357 yards, while Lee Brandon hit a 291-yard shot that took honors for the Womens category.
