Goosen to Play in Malaysia

The Carlsberg Malaysian Open got a recent boost when the World's No. 5 ranked player, Retief Goosen, announced his intention on teeing it up for the 2003 event.
Goosen, the European Tour's No. 1 for the last two years, just edged out Padraig Harrington for the 2002 Volvo Order of Merit and needs a good showing in Malaysia to keep pace with Harrington.

Harrington is already off to a fast start with a win in the BMW Asian Open late last month.
'For that reason,' he said, 'It would be great to get my year off to a winning start in the Carlsberg Malaysian Open. I enjoy playing around the world and it is challenging to test our games against the best players from Asia.'
The event is set to be played at the Mines Resort and Golf Club from February 20-23 next year.
