Gossett to be Recognized by Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame


David GossettPGA Tour rookie David Gossett will be honored by the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in early February during the associations Annual Banquet and Induction Ceremony in Nashville, Tenn.
Gossett is a candidate for PGA Tour Rookie of the Year, based on his win at the John Deere Classic while on a sponsors exemption. For the year, he played in 14 other events and finished 68th on the official money list with $748,126.
This is not the first time the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame has recognized Gossett, however. He was honored by the association in the late 90s for his outstanding junior career, which included winning the 97 AJGA Player of the Year award and being named an All-American twice while at the University of Texas.
