Beginning the day at 9-under-par, Grob slipped to 8-under following a bogey at the par-3 12th. After a pair of pars, Grob regrouped by birdying the 15th, 16th and 17th holes to finish the third round at 11-under-par.
Gore started the third round five shots back of Grob, but made the turn in 3-under-par 32. And as did the man he's chasing, Gore caught fire down the stretch, birdying the 15th, 17th and 18th holes to earn a spot in Sunday's final pairing.
Coincidentally, Gore and Grob are right next to each other on the 2000 money list. Gore stands in 76th place, while Grob resides in the 77th position.
Three players are two shots off the lead at 9-under-par. That threesome includes Craig Kanada, Kris Cox and J.J. Henry. Kanada matched Gore for low round of the day. Each man fired a 6-under-par 64.
