GWAA to Recognize Lehman


The Golf Writers Association of America will honor Tom Lehman with the 2001 Charles Bartlett Award on April 4 in Augusta, Ga.
The award is given annually to a player who contributes towards the betterment of society.
Lehman has been involved in a number of charities and holds an event each year in Minneapolis which has raised $3.5 million for charity over the past six years. In addition, he is involved in a program called Match Point, which helps troubled children in the Phoenix area.
Lehman will join Robert Allenby (Ben Hogan Award), Tiger Woods, Karrie Webb and Larry Nelson (Players of the Year Award), as recipients of honors from the GWAA.
