Though not affiliated with either the regular European Tour or the Challenge Tour, Harrington nonetheless made the trip back a worthwhile one. With a couple of late birdies at the 16th and 17th, Harrington beat out former Ryder Cupper and fellow countryman Philip Walton by a shot.
Harrington also won the event back in 1998.
The event was held just outside of Harringtons hometown at St. Margarets Golf and Country Club in Dublin, Ireland.
Harrington, who finished in a tie for 13th at the Masters, is currently ranked No. 8 in the world rankings.
