International Representation Increases on PGA Tour


There has been an international invasion of the PGA Tour over the past five years, a period during which player and country counts have risen.
In 1997, there were 23 players from nine foreign countries. In 1998, 27 players from 12 countries participated. In 99, the figures escalated to 30 players from 12 countries and in 2000 it was 39 players from 17 countries.
In 2001, the figures hit an all-time high with 47 players from 18 countries.
